DTF Solution originated from Polytech!
Polytech(Shenzhen) Inc. was established in 2016. It was conceived by three outstanding individuals: polymer chemist Mike Chan, senior textileexpert Andrew Yiu, and investor Anna On. Their collaboration was not only based on their profound expertise and industry backgrounds but also rooted in a shared commitment to environmental protection: to reform environmental pollution and wastewater discharge issues in the traditional printing field, and to pave a new path of green and sustainable development for the Earth and its future generations.

Traditional digital printing processes typically involve screen making and overlay printing. In this production process, the cumbersome multiple platemaking and washing not only produce a pungent odor but also result in a large amount of wastewater, causing irreversible harm to personnel and the environment. Stemming from Polytech's founding vision, to address this issue, Mike and Andrew combined their expertise in nanoscale digital printing inks and textile printing and dyeing fields to innovate digital printing solutions.

Since June 2017,Polytech has continuously applied for multiple patents:
"A Nano water based Ink,"
"A Waterbased Ink Printing Pretreatment Solution for Artificial Leather,"
"A Digital Inkjet White Ink for Dark Fabrics,"
"A Powder Shaker Dryer,"
laying a solid scientific research foundation for the birth of the globally popular DTF solution.  They are several products we refer to as Direct To Film, including DTF Ink, DTF Film, DTF white ink, and DTF shaker powder.

In 2017, Polytech successfully printed vibrant patterns using self-developed water-based inks on white PU film through special surface treatment, using Epson printers. The printed patterns were transferred onto fabric through printing, cutting, waste discharge, and reverse pasting processes. Its exquisite lines, soft hand feel, and extremely high colorfastness stirred up a sensation in the market and attracted widespread attention, leading Polytech's innovative project to win the "Shenzhen Maker Special Funds" award in 2018.
Although water-based PU film digital printing technology solved the printing problem on dark fabrics, the complex and lengthy process became a barrier to large-scale application, urging the market's urgent demand for simplified application processes. Guangzhou Lao Zhang, a traditional printing craftsman, brought PET film used for traditional screen printing to Polytech  multiple times, driving 200 kilometers each time. Due to the success of PU film, he firmly believed that Polytech could produce the heat transfer film for digital water-based printing that he had longed for. Such trust was a huge encouragement and inspiration for Polytech's technical team.

In December 2018, after countless tests and improvements, Polytech finally succeeded in modifying PET film through coating and finishing with Polytech’s water-based inks and Epson printer,  then completed heat transfer printing through manual sprinkling, drying, and pressing, marking the official debut of the DTF digital heat transfer printing solution. The abbreviation DTF stands for Direct to Film, which initially was our term used with customers but gradually evolved into an industry-wide term.
Although DTF simplified the previous PU film production process, the biggest bottleneck in the early stage of DTF was the powder sprinkling process because manual sprinkling completely hindered large-scale production. Polytech’s customers hoped that we could industrialize DTF, and Polytech lived up to expectations. By simulating the manual
