Polytech Water-based PU Printing Film Gains Significant Attention and Receives Support from Shenzhen Innovation Fund
In 2017, Polytech Shenzhen Inc. launched its foundational product: water-based nano latex ink. Through initial promotion, it attracted the attention of many distributors and end customers in the direct printing and direct-to-garment (DTG) printing market, which helped Polytech gain some recognition as a water-based ink manufacturer.
It was through this early promotion that we realized water-based latex inks and water-based pigment inks still had a long way to go in the direct printing market. There was room for improvement in terms of customers’ application range, pre-treatment process, and the maturity of printing machines. To expand the company’s operations, we combined our ink with surface treatment technology and launched China’s first water-based printing and cutting Vinyl, filling a domestic production gap for similar products.
Polytech began promoting our water-based printing Vinyl solutions at exhibitions across the country: using an EPSON 3280 printer equipped with Polytech water-based latex ink, exquisite patterns were printed on roll-type white printing film (PolyWhite, gold-backed printing film (PolyGold), and silver-backed printing film (PolySilver). After a simple drying process, the pattern was cut into the desired outline using a Graphtec cutter, and following the waste-removal and laminating process, the result was a soft, exquisite printed film. Finally, it was heat-pressed onto various fabric materials or finished T-shirts, resulting in a high-quality, washable print.
