After a year of development and preparation, Polytech has launched a water-based printable PET film solution, which is an upgraded replacement for our previous water-based cutting Vinyl solution.
While using the same printer and the same ink, the printing substrate has been replaced with our self-developed water-based printable PET. We are attempting to use this method to reduce the various drawbacks of the water-based printing and cutting film solution: the production chain was too long, the process was complex, the defect rate was high, and the labor cost was significant.
The current process for this solution involves: digitally printing the PET film, manually applying powder, manually drying it, and then heat-transferring it.
This solution can be widely used in various scenarios, regardless of the size of the space or the type of heat-pressing substrate. We have high expectations for the development of this solution. Although it cannot be applied to black, dark blue, or other dark-colored fabrics or substrates, it works exceptionally well on light-colored fabrics, almost perfectly replacing the water-based cutting film solution.
After the launch, we received strong feedback from customers, who have requested that we add a white ink underlayer function. Our company will continue to develop a white ink solution and improve this plan, so please stay tuned for our continuous innovation capabilities.
