The ink damper is a crucial component that supplies ink directly to the printhead. A good ink damper can ensure smoother printing and better protect the printhead. Sometimes, ink mixing on the printhead surface can result in the ink damper containing multiple colors, or repeated cleaning may not fully recover all the printhead nozzles. In such cases, it is highly likely that replacing the ink damper is necessary to resolve the issue. Here, we share how to properly and safely replace the ink damper, quickly and accurately addressing the problems caused by a damaged ink damper.
1. Shut down the printer and unplug the power cable.
2. Remove the fixing frame of the ink damper.
3. Lock the upper ink tube of the ink damper.
4. Pull out the ink damper from the print head.
5. Avoid ink leakage into cables and connecting parts. If the damper is difficult to pull out, cut the ink tube and use a straight connector to repair it for normal installation.
