Cleaning the printhead is one of the most common printing operations. Proper cleaning can minimize operation time and potential risks. Below, we share how to effectively use the cleaning function of the POLYTECH DTF printer, along with related precautions.
There are two modes in the printing software: automatic cleaning mode and ink loading. Automatic cleaning is a soft clean, while ink loading is a flush cleaning that uses more ink.
- Each ink loading time should be 12 seconds, no more than 15 seconds, two or three times. After ink loading, clean the surface of the print head with a dust-free cloth.
- If air is introduced into the ink channel and three ink loadings don't recover the nozzles, add water to the print head cap and leave it for over half an hour to see if there's any improvement.
- For significant temperature fluctuations or replaced dampers introducing a lot of air, it may take overnight to eliminate the air in the system.
