During the DTF printing process, we may encounter nozzle loss for various reasons. When the printer's built-in automatic cleaning and ink load functions cannot resolve the nozzle loss issue, or when air has entered the ink tube, we need to quickly remove this air. To achieve this, we often need to use a syringe to draw ink until the ink bag is sufficiently filled. So, how do we properly use a syringe to suck ink into the ink damper?
1. Prepare a clean syringe and wash it twice with pure/deionized water.
2. Shut down the printer and unplug the power cable.
3. Lock the ink tube clip, remove the ink damper fixing frame.
4. Lock the ink tube above the damper, pull out the ink damper.
5. Turn the damper upside down, connect the damper outlet to the syringe and slowly suck the ink until it exceeds two-thirds of the damper's capacity.
Note:
- Hold the ink damper properly as shown in the picture.
- Do not press the soft films on the sides of the ink damper.
- Protect the data cable and print head connecting parts from ink when sucking the ink.
